As Anchor organisations within the health and social care sector, we employ people from our local communities. The question is: are we supporting people to gain employment effectively, equitably and ensuring we have a diverse representation that reflects our population?
We want to understand and learn from organisations how we are, or can, remove barriers for people to gain employment. We also want to provide attractive job opportunities and career pathways to young people starting their journey into employment.
Individuals across the North East and North Cumbria system are invited to attend an event at The Durham Centre on 14 November, 9:30am – 3:00pm. We will hear from colleagues who are involved in a range of initiatives and projects designed to retain and create jobs. We will also hear about supporting careers in health and social care through discovery and investing in our future talent.
