North East and North Cumbria ICB chief executive, Samantha Allen, has launched a new podcast series called Beyond the Now, which brings together voices from across the NHS and wider public services to talk about leadership, change and the future of health and care.
In the first episode, Samantha is joined by Sir James Mackey, transitional chief executive of NHS England. Together, they reflect on what it means to lead during times of uncertainty, how leaders can support their teams through change, and the importance of staying connected to purpose. The conversation also explores digital innovation, improving outcomes, and creating a more transparent and responsive NHS and also discuss the NHS 10 year plan.
