PAPYRUS have been contracted by the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Integrated Care Board, to provide fully funded Suicide Prevention trainings to Primary Care, Emergency responders and NHS staff in the North East and North Cumbria.

This training is open to those who work in:

• Primary Care (Any role that works in a GP Practice)
• Emergency responders (Police, Fire, Ambulance, Coast Guard, Mountain Rescue)
• NHS commissioned services by the NENC ICB

SPEAK – Suicide Prevention Explore, Ask, Keep-Safe. An introduction to suicide prevention skills (3.5hr training online training)

The key objectives are:

• To consider the attitudes, myths, and stigma that surround suicide
• To recognise and explore the ‘signs’ that may indicate someone is having thoughts of suicide
• To encourage an open, safe and sensitive conversation about suicide with a person having thoughts of suicide
• To support a safety plan with someone thinking of suicide
