This Connect & Learn session on 22 January 2025 saw Sarah Penn (Cumbria CVS (formerly Happy Mums!)), Lucinda Bray (The Happy Mums Foundation CIC), Ang Broadbridge (Ways to Wellness), Sandra Guise (Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership Group), Caro Claisse and Abi Durrant (Open Lab, Newcastle University) deliver a presentation on ‘‘See the whole of me’: A community, life-course approach to maternal listening’.
Our Connect & Learns are a series of online learning events, planned with the purpose of sharing and spreading improvement work across the North East and North Cumbria health and care system.
Each with a different focus, the Connect & Learns are more than just information-sharing – they are an opportunity for you to connect with like-minded colleagues around a specific topic, to generate ideas, and take forward improvements in your own work, team, or service.
In the session, our presenters shared learning from their participatory research project which was co-designed and produced with academic, VCSE, lived experience and NHS partners. Delegates were challenged to think about how ready our organisations are to hear and respond to holistic, life course experiences, especially of mums and mums-to-be.
