Our REN development programme is a partnership focusing on increasing research engagement with underserved communities, raising awareness of research opportunities, and supporting participation. National REN funding went to voluntary sector organisations across the North East and North Cumbria, who have trusted relationships with communities, to explore barriers and enablers to taking part research and to understand how best to engage to encourage future participation.
