The Young People’s Business Mentoring Programme is a new project co-ordinated by Redcar and Cleveland Council, which aims to match young people with volunteer mentors from local businesses to support them to achieve their aspirations.

Although the project is coordinated by Redcar and Cleveland Council, mentors can be from anywhere and most of the meetings take place online via Teams.

The mentoring sessions are tailored to each individuals needs, and the mentor may set actions and tasks. The most important thing is to get the right mentee and mentor ‘match’.
