Congratulations to Stanley Medical Group and Tanfield View Surgery who are celebrating after their Stamp Out Diabetes team was named Community Diabetes Specialist Nurse of the Year at the Diabetes Nursing Awards 2025 in London.
The team was recognised for developing and delivering a multidisciplinary lifestyle clinic aimed at preventing type 2 diabetes. Their personalised approach has improved health outcomes by identifying risk factors early and offering tailored support.
A key strength of the initiative is its collaboration with public health colleagues and local services. By integrating diabetes prevention into wider health programmes, the team has increased awareness, education, and community engagement across the region.
