Creating an Integrated Care System for the North East and North Cumbria is not about designing a new organisation. It’s looking at how to work differently for the benefit of all patients and staff.
The Great North Care Record (GNCR) is a key programme for the Integrated Care System. It is a shared care record in our region, bringing healthcare together, and helping to remove some of the duplication by making data available at the point of care.
The GNCR allows for collaboration between trusts, local authorities, GPs, North East Ambulance Service, community, mental health, 0-19 services and hospices. GNCR can be accessed through your electronic patient record such as SystmOne, with access guides available on the website: Staff Training – Great North Care Record.
Nurses, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), doctors, medical staff, health care assistants, pharmacists, midwives, adult social care workers and paramedics. GNCR should only be used for providing direct care and treatment for patients.
