In our region we want to be the best at getting better. Continuous learning and improvement are at the heart of everything we do, and the way we work.
We know that through sharing learning, ideas, and good practice, we can find answers to the challenges we face. We can work together to make a difference to the health of people living in our area.
As part of this work we are launching a new training area called the ‘Boost learning academy’. This will offer continuous learning and improvement for our workforce. There will be a wide range of courses, forums, and events tailored to our region’s needs.
About the learning academy
As well as having a focus on leadership and improvement, the learning academy will be host to the healthier and fairer programmes.
This will help people to understand health differences, how they happen, and equip them with the skills to drive positive change in their workplace. By learning more they will understand what people need, and how to make them feel included in their care. This will help create a more inclusive health and care system and workplace.
Merging accounts and Bulletin subscribers
This change means that our current event booking page (https://community.boost.org.uk/) will be closed down.
We will be merging accounts and Bulletin subscribers as part of the learning academy. We expect this to take place in mid-to-late September 2024.
The learning academy is being built and maintained by Yalla Cooperative – a different company to our current provider. Yalla has experience of working in health and care in our region – they previously created the Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training platform.
Yalla’s preferred system will be used for automated emails and the monthly Boost Bulletin (if you are signed-up).
Do I need to do anything?
Only your sign-up details will transfer to the learning academy. Your event attendance history will not. We recommend that you log in and download any records you would like to keep. You can do this via your profile if you have an active account: https://community.boost.org.uk/profile/your-events
When you sign-in to the new learning academy for the first time, you will be asked to fill out some additional information for evaluation purposes.
I have booked a place on an upcoming training session/event. What will happen?
All training and events will be taking place as planned. Your place will be secure on any events you have booked.
As with all new systems, there are likely to be some teething problems. Please bear with us whilst we get things up-and-running – we will try to make the change as smooth as possible.
If you do not wish for your account to be merged, please let us know. We can arrange to remove your information from the current system before the change takes place.
