Get involved! International Women’s Day 2024

February 28, 2024

International Women’s Day is a time for celebration and a time to reflect on how far women have come, and the need to continue to raise awareness of the inequalities women still face. There is lots planned in the lead up to the day, and you can take part in the celebrations by signing up to the events available…

North East North Cumbria (NENC) Integrated Care Board (ICB) International Women’s Day Webinar:

A NENC ICB International Women’s Day webinar will be held on Thursday 7 March 2024, 2:00pm – 3:00pm.

The theme for 2024 is ‘#InspireInclusion’, and this webinar will embody that through the sharing of lived experiences and a discussion around future changes.

Guest speakers will be joining from different organisations across the North East and North Cumbia to share stories on their leadership journeys, with time at the end for attendees to ask questions and share their own thoughts. An agenda of events will be distributed to colleagues who have registered, nearer the date, so please feel free to register your interest now and share the invitation with your colleagues by using/sharing the below link:

Celebrating International Women’s Day 2024:

Join the Health and Care Women Leaders Network on International Women’s Day 2024 (IWD2024) – Friday 8 March – to celebrate and highlight work underway to progress gender equality and enhance inclusivity for women working in healthcare.

With a focus on the theme for IWD2024, the day will start with an early morning celebration on X (formerly Twitter), from 8:00am, celebrating the individuals who have inspired you on your leadership journey. Find out more and how you can take part here.

The celebrations will continue with a virtual event to be held on Zoom from 10:00am – 12:00pm, where you will hear from NHS Chief Executive, Amanda Pritchard, the network chair, Samantha Allen, and many more. You will also see presentations from organisations and fellow networks that are doing great work to progress gender equality and enhance inclusivity for women working in health and care.

The network hopes you will join them at the event – all are welcome. You will be in great company with others who are passionate about gender equality.

Book your free place here and encourage your colleagues and others to join too.
