The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme (DWMP) continues to offer a free, convenient and flexible way for adults to take control of their health in 2026.

Adults may be eligible if they have:
Referrals can be made easily by healthcare professionals through e-RS, EMIS, or TPP/SystmOne, using the DWMP referral template.
Once referred, patients receive an NHS text message inviting them to register and select their preferred programme provider. This gives each person the freedom to choose the digital support that best meets their needs and lifestyle.
Full details, including referral guidance, can be found on the NHS England DWMP webpage.
The Programme for Healthy Weight and Treating Obesity has previously delivered a series of informative webinars on the DWMP. These sessions explore how the programme works, who it supports, and the positive outcomes it helps individuals achieve.
