Health and Social Care organisations have huge challenges over quality, operational control and finance. Underlying problems range from recruitment and retention to public confidence, from IT to poor team behaviours.
Don Berwick published his report “A promise to learn, a commitment to act” following the Mid Staffs inquiries identifying one of key ways forward is to embrace learning, continuous improvement and collaboration as key organisational values.
This festival was a first attempt to bring together committed learning organisations, committed ‘collaborators’ and everyone interested in ‘modern improvement science’ as ‘the way we do things around here’ – to celebrate their successes, learn from their failures, form new networks and find new development opportunities.
