Brought to you by Boost in collaboration with North Cumbria Knowledge and Library Service, this LUNCH & LEARN session on 28 June 2024 saw Joe Waugh (Clinical Lead First Contact Physiotherapist, Well Up North Primary Care Network, North Northumberland) deliver a presentation on ‘First Contact Physiotherapy in Primary Care: Rollout, sustenance, and the future considering the ARMA report’.
Our LUNCH & LEARNs are short, informal events that take place at lunchtime – while you take a break and eat, you can listen to our invited speaker as they give a short talk sharing information about their work, as well as their experience of improvement.
This session outlined the rollout, continuation, and the future of a Primary Care Network-employed First Contact Physiotherapy team. This service has been recognised and highlighted by the NHS confederation report, and recently contributed to the ARMA report ‘ACT NOW: Musculoskeletal Health Inequalities and Deprivation’.
