Brought to you by Boost in collaboration with North Cumbria Knowledge and Library Service, this LUNCH & LEARN session on 17 July 2025 saw Jo Burke (Nature and Wellbeing Officer, Northumberland Wildlife Trust) deliver a presentation on ‘Nature for health and wellbeing: Northumberland Wildlife Trust’.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) describes nature as “our greatest source of health and wellbeing” (WHO 2020).

Northumberland Wildlife Trust believe access to nature is a fundamental right – and a powerful, underused tool for advancing health equity.

In this session, Jo discussed the proven benefits of green health and explored how we can embed nature into our everyday and professional services, with a focus on reaching diverse and marginalized groups.
