We are pleased to announce that a new cohort of the Mary Seacole Local Leadership Programme is now open for applications.
The programme is designed for first time/emerging leaders, runs over a six-month period, and learning is delivered through the national NHS Leadership Academy’s virtual campus. The programme includes films, interactive content, discussion forums and online resources, plus three full-day workshops with our very own expert facilitators.
Applications are welcome from first time/emerging leaders from organisations working within the North East and North Cumbria region. The programme will be fully-funded by the North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy (NEYLA).
Take a look at this short video with Kate Ward (Mary Seacole participant), talking about why she chose the programme, what to expect from it, and what it has given her:
All workshops for this cohort will be held face-to-face at: Carleton Clinic, Cumwhinton Drive, Carlisle, CA1 3SX. Unfortunately, neither we nor NEYLA will be unable to fund travel for delegates – this would need to be claimed through your employer.
All workshop dates below are mandatory except for the briefing session, which is highly recommended as it gives an insight into the commitment required to successfully complete the programme and provides an opportunity to meet fellow participants.
It is important that you have full support from your organisation to take part in the programme. You must therefore identify a sponsor (normally your line manager), and provide their contact details in your application form. We will contact this person to discuss your application before you are considered for a place.
If you wish to apply for the programme, you must complete an application form through Microsoft Forms here.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 3 December 2023.
We look forward to receiving your applications! Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Claire Carrick (NHS Leadership Development Co-ordinator, NEYLA) if you have any further queries: [email protected]
