Boost – Learning for Improvement

This session supports our ambition to be the best at getting better in the North East and North Cumbria. It highlights the importance of a shared learning culture and approach to continuous improvement.

Learning is the engine for our approach to improvement as an Integrated Care System. We all have a role in modelling this approach.

The module will build on core improvement methods, introducing a human learning systems perspective. It will also explain the importance of making time for continuous learning.

Learning objectives:

• Understand key principles of a learning organisation
• Recognise leadership behaviours for continuous learning
• Know how to embed continuous learning and improvement into ways of working
• Understand a theory of change aligned to the North East and North Cumbria strategy and goals – ‘better health and wellbeing for all’
• Gain an introduction to human learning systems mindset
• Know core tools for improvement
