Health and care colleagues across the North East and Yorkshire can now access a range of leadership development opportunities designed to support leaders at every stage of their career.
For the first time, the North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy (NEYLA) will deliver regional cohorts of the prestigious Rosalind Franklin Programme, bringing this nationally recognised leadership development opportunity closer to home.
Aimed at colleagues in mid to senior leadership roles, the nine-month programme helps leaders build the confidence, skills and capability needed to lead across organisations, systems and partnerships. Regional cohorts will launch from winter 2026, with significantly reduced costs for delegates from NEYLA Partnership organisations.

Applications are now open for Cohort 8 of the highly rated Introduction to Leadership and Management Programme.
Ideal for those aspiring to become a manager or in their first year of leadership, the programme is delivered virtually through five interactive half-day sessions. Participants will explore practical leadership tools, proven management approaches and techniques that can be applied immediately in the workplace, while learning alongside peers from across the region.
Places are limited and will be allocated through a shortlisting process. Applications close on Friday 7 August.
The Foundations of Applied Systems Thinking (FAST) programme offers a practical and hands-on approach to understanding and improving complex systems.
Delivered through five modules comprising ten 2.5-hour sessions, FAST helps participants develop the skills to navigate complexity, engage multiple stakeholders, analyse system behaviour and identify opportunities for improvement. Participants will also apply their learning to a live neighbourhood challenge or priority, turning theory into meaningful action.
Designed as an applied learning experience, the programme supports collaborative approaches to tackling real-world challenges and creating lasting system change.
