A new Personalised Care Toolkit has been launched, which has been developed by North East and North Cumbria Local Maternity and Neonatal System (NENC LMNS) in partnership with women, families, midwives, doctors, and MNVP leads.
The toolkit has been designed to support informed decision-making and puts women’s choices at the heart of care. It includes resources ranging from birth option videos, decision-making tools, leaflets, and training for staff.
This work will help make personalised care part of everyday practice across all eight Trusts and is a reminder that personalised care isn’t just about ticking boxes – it’s about listening, respecting individual needs, and ensuring everyone feels safe, informed, and in control throughout their pregnancy journey.
