North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Integrated Care Board (ICB) are pleased to invite you to a Diabetes Summit taking place at The Durham Centre on Wednesday 11 November 2026 from 9.00am-1.30pm.
Hosted by Dr Alex Kent, Medical Director, this exciting summit will bring together clinical leaders, commissioners, digital experts and system partners from across NENC to explore how digital technology, population health data and innovation can be used to identify risk and support early intervention.
Our Diabetes Summit provides a great opportunity to bring together expertise from across the system to shape the future of diabetes care. By collaborating across organisational boundaries and sharing innovative approaches, we can develop practical solutions that will help improve outcomes for people living with diabetes across North East and North Cumbria.
We are delighted by the level of interest in the Diabetes Summit and want to ensure the event brings together a diverse range of perspectives from across our region. Therefore, please be advised that places for this event are limited, and will be allocated to ensure balanced representation across organisations, professional groups and system partners from across the region. Due to anticipated high demand, submitting an expression of interest via Boost Learning Academy does not automatically guarantee a place at the event unfortunately. Following submission, potential attendees will receive an acknowledgement email via Boost Learning Academy confirming their expression of interest has been received. Expressions of interest will then be reviewed to ensure a balanced mix of colleagues from across the health and care system. Successful applicants will receive an email confirming their place at the event with full event details including the Agenda.
