Presenter: Clare Stobbart
Clare is an experienced Respiratory Nurse Specialist with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. She qualified as a nurse from the University of Chester in 2010, beginning her NHS career the same year and progressing into specialist respiratory roles over the following decade.
Clare has become a well recognised clinical voice in respiratory care across the North East and North Cumbria.
As part of her specialist role, she delivers patient education, clinical assessments, and community-based respiratory support, and has been actively involved in initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for people living with COPD and other chronic lung conditions.
Her work includes participation in Northumbria’s Hospital at Home (virtual ward) respiratory service, where she has been praised by patients for her supportive, attentive approach to home based care. Clare also features prominently in the NENC “Breathe Easier” campaign, a regional initiative designed to support patients with COPD—especially during winter—by promoting smoking cessation, correct inhaler use, and uptake of seasonal vaccinations.
She appears in official NENC educational videos, offering practical guidance to help people manage their lung health more effectively. northeastnorthcumbria.nhs.uk/breathe easier
