Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) is proud to collaborate with the award-winning TAPER2 team to spotlight their impactful work in pain management. This special session will be hosted through the North East and North Cumbria Pain Community of Practice on 1 October 2025, 1:30pm – 3:00pm.
TAPER2 is a locally driven initiative designed to support vulnerable patients as they prepare for elective surgery. The programme focuses on helping patients to “Wait Well” while also addressing long-term use of opioids and gabapentinoids – a critical issue in pain management and patient safety.
