Following Social Prescribing Day, there has been renewed focus on the role that social prescribing and link working play in supporting person‑centred, community‑based health and wellbeing across North Cumbria.
This work continues to be shaped through strong partnership working and a shared commitment to neighbourhood health. We would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who has supported Cumbria CVS and the Health Partnerships Team in recent years to help social prescribing initiatives remain active, visible and impactful across the region.
Cumbria CVS has launched a new Social Prescribing Approaches in North Cumbria website, bringing together information and resources to support understanding and collaboration across the system.
The website includes:
You can explore who delivers social prescribing in North Cumbria via Cumbria CVS: Who does social prescribing in North Cumbria? | Cumbria CVS
The site also provides information about the work of the North Cumbria Social Prescribing Steering Group, which brings partners together to support and strengthen social prescribing and link working across neighbourhoods.
This work leads into the publication of a new system‑wide report later this spring: Passion, connection and community: Person‑centred neighbourhood health in North Cumbria.
The report explores learning, impact and insight from social prescribing and link working across North Cumbria.
The report will be launched at a celebration event taking place on:
