The North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy (NEYLA) is excited to share a new range of development sessions for existing health and care managers.
Those holding a management position are often looked to with an expectation of always knowing what to do or say. While some skills and strategies will have grown during the time spent in roles, all managers can benefit from finding time and space to explore alternative approaches and fresh solutions.
The workshops offered within ‘The Manager’s Toolbox’ series will give the opportunity to work with a diverse group of peers to explore a range of topics, and gather practical advice and tools which can be readily transferred to the workplace. The workshops offered will be reviewed and refreshed regularly, ensuring that there will be the opportunity to access learning relevant to the current health and care climate.

This is not a rigidly structured programme, and the sessions can be accessed in any order. Additional sessions will be added which will explore aspects of project management, effective delegation, and time management.
These sessions are open to all line managers working at any level, or in any organisation type across the North Cumbria, North East and Yorkshire region. The intended audience is those who are established as a manager (around 12 months working at this level as a minimum), and looking for ways to increase their skill set and impact.
If you have less than 12 months experience, NEYLA recommend accessing Introduction to Leadership and Management and/or the Edward Jenner programme.
