The Public Health Prevention in Maternity Programme, hosted by the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (North East and North Cumbria), set out to improve the delivery of prevention in maternity services for all women and families.
Following significant improvements in areas such as reducing maternal smoking and increasing breastfeeding, this latest evaluation considered: maternal mental health, maternal healthy weight, and reproductive health.
This 60-minute webinar, ‘NIHR ARC Supporting maternal health outcomes in the North East and North Cumbria: Findings from a regional Public Health Prevention in Maternity Programme’, aims to share the findings and recommendations from the evaluation of this programme, focussing on the above three areas, which was led by Dr Ryc Aquino and Professor Judith Rankin between April 2023-July 2024.
