Learning for practice and policy…

Tier 2 weight management services are commissioned by local authorities and delivered in communities. They help people lose weight by providing education on and support for healthy eating, exercise, and behaviour change.

Research led by the NIHR ARC North East and North Cumbria evaluated the delivery of these services across several local authority areas, to understand where and how service delivery had worked well, and not so well.

This national event on Tuesday 8 April (1pm – 2pm, online) will share the findings of the research, and outline recommendations for practice and policy.

This seminar is open to everyone, although it will be particularly relevant to professionals involved in the commissioning, development, and implementation of tier 2 weight management services, especially services for higher-risk groups.
